As the 2025 Formula 1 season approaches, Franco is set to begin his journey as test and reserve driver with Alpine.
Building upon his impressive performances in 2024, he will hope to make the most of any opportunities when they come his way.
Here are some pivotal dates and events to mark on your calendar:
February 26th-28th: Pre-Season Testing in Bahrain
The first F1 event of the year will be pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit, as the squad look to gain valuable track time in the A525.
March 16th: Australian Grand Prix
The season opener in Melbourne is always a highlight. While Franco's primary role is as a reserve driver, he will undoubtedly be ready to jump in at any moment should he be called upon.
May 4th: Miami Grand Prix
The Miami GP is one of the sport’s most high-profile events, and Franco will be in and amongst Alpine’s operations throughout the weekend.
With its growing popularity having only been introduced in 2022, this race is an important part of the F1 calendar.
May 25th: Monaco Grand Prix and Franco’s Birthday
Taking place at the Circuit de Monaco, this race is significant as it coincides with Franco's 22nd birthday.
The event itself will take place on the Sunday and Franco will turn 22 the following Tuesday on 27th May.
What a weekend to make his debut with Alpine this would be.
June 25th: F1 Movie Release Day
The much-anticipated Formula 1 film ‘F1’ is set for international release on June 25th, before debuting in Canada and the United States on June 27th.
It stars Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, as well as Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Javier Bardem and Sarah Niles.
July 6th: British Grand Prix
Held at Silverstone, the home race for the Alpine workforce offers Franco a chance to witness the support from his team's home crowd.
His familiarity with the circuit could prove advantageous during practice sessions, should he get the chance to race.
Speaking of homecomings, three days after the event at Silverstone, on July 9th, Argentina will celebrate their Independence Day which will add to the occasion for Franco.
September 14th: Azerbaijan Grand Prix
Baku's street circuit was the site of Franco's highest finish in 2024, where he secured an impressive P8.
This year's race presents an opportunity to reflect on past successes and aim for even better results.
November 9th: São Paulo Grand Prix
The race at Interlagos is the closest to Franco's native Argentina.
The passionate South American fans will hopefully bring a fiery and supportive atmosphere, making it a special event for him.
December 7th: Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
The season finale at Yas Marina Circuit will be an event to remember. It will give us all the chance to reflect on what will inevitably be a memorable year and tie the season up nicely as we head into 2026.
