Thanks to everyone who sent in their questions for Franco, here's what he had to say in response:
Mate with or without sugar?
I prefer my mate without sugar.
Did you ever think it would be possible to get to where you are now? Putting aside that it was your dream and that you would do everything possible to achieve it.
It was always in the back of my mind really, I just focused on enjoying my driving and everything else fell into place around it.
Apart from racing in F1, what is your biggest dream?
Beyond F1, my dream is to inspire as many young Argentinian drivers as possible to pursue their passion in motorsport and to see more representation from my country at the highest level.
What were you doing when you were confirmed as an F1 driver and what was your first reaction?
I was at the Williams headquarters. It felt surreal to achieve such a lifelong dream so I can’t really express all the emotions I was feeling.
How do you see the level of Argentine motorsport compared to other parts of the world? Do you think it could improve?
Argentinian motorsport has a rich history, but there's a lot of room for growth. It’s been a while since we have competed at the top level and I’d love to play a part in getting the Argentinian representation in Formula 1 back to the top.
Was it very difficult to leave your city and family to follow your dream?
Leaving my hometown and family was challenging, but they always supported me as I made the transition which helped a lot. Pursuing a passion always requires sacrifices, this was just something that I had to do.
What has been the biggest technical challenge you’ve faced so far and how did you overcome it to keep evolving as a driver?
Adapting to the complexities of F1 machinery has been a huge challenge. I try to keep learning and working closely with my engineering team who have been crucial in my development as a driver.
Would you get a tattoo?
Currently, I don't have any tattoos but if I were to get one, I’d get my number 43 on my arm.
Are you bringing everyone at Alpine mate?
I always have my mate with me. Since being at Alpine, I’ve introduced a few of my teammates to it, and they assured me they enjoyed it.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? What dreams do you hope to achieve in the next 10 years?
Over the next decade, I want to grow as an F1 driver and would love to have won a championship. If I could also mentor young talents from Argentina, that would be a major accomplishment as well.
How many mates do you drink a day?
I typically drink several mates throughout the day, especially during breaks and downtime.
With Alpine, being in a French team, what is your level of French?
It’s far from perfect, I would love to learn but my focus at the moment is keeping myself in top shape to get back in a seat.
Who is your biggest idol from Boca Juniors? And which player do you like the most now?
Growing up, Juan Román Riquelme was my idol from Boca Juniors. Outside of Boca, like all Argentinians, I love Lionel Messi.
What would you have done if you weren’t a Formula 1 driver?
If I weren't in F1, like all Argentinians I would have loved to be a football player.
Which Bzrp session do you like the most?
I'm a fan of Bizarrap's work. I’m always listening to his sessions. I’d say my favourite is his collab with Peso Pluma, I listen to that a lot.
If you were the owner of a team, what name would you like to give it, and which drivers would you like to have?
If I owned a team, I'd name it "Pampa Racing," for a little Argentinian flair. I’d recruit my former teammate Alex Albon and maybe Lewis Hamilton.
What is your favourite food that you always eat before a race?
I prefer light meals that give me enough energy for a race, such as pasta with some grilled chicken. If I could have anything I’d have a full asado but that might be too much before racing.
What do you like most about yourself?
I’m not afraid of going for it. I don’t feel afraid of making mistakes or getting things wrong, it’s all a part of the journey.
What is the difference between the simulator and the real car?
While simulators are invaluable for practice, they can't really properly replicate the physical challenges and variables of driving a real F1 car.
